Now that autumn is finally upon us, The Baker House 1650 staff is on the lookout for fun and exciting ways to usher in the new season. While many people may associate the Hamptons with long summer days spent lounging at the beach, this iconic string of seaside villages offers plenty of fall entertainment as well. To give you a taste of what you can expect, here are some recent events that took place as well as activities you can still take part in this fall in the Hamptons.Animal Rescue Fund –On Saturday, October 10th, we were proud to be one of the sponsors when the Animal Rescue Fund partnered with Beach Magazine and hosted a Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk event from 9 AM – 12 PM. Participants brought their pups to the Mulford Farm at 10 James Lane in East Hampton and began a two-mile walk to the ocean from there. During the day, they enjoyed free nail clipping for the dogs, various contests, delicious treats, and more! This event was an excellent opportunity to enjoy a workout with a furry friend and meet other pet owners in the community! Parrish Art Museum Events– The Parrish Art Museum has a constantly updated roster of incredible art exhibitions and special programs/events taking place. This fall, residents and visitors alike enjoyed the following:Andreas Gursky: Landscapes, Platform: Tara Donovan, Art. Illuminated, Painting Horizons, Esteban Vicente and Collage, William Merritt Chase: The Shinnecock Years, Face Value, and tons of other exciting and thought-provoking exhibits.Pumpkin Picking – As one of the most quintessential fall activities out there, pumpkin picking at Hank’s Pumpkin Town in Water Mill is always a hit! Visitors can find pumpkins of all shapes and sizes at this beautiful pumpkin farm. As of today, 48 of the 420 acres of crops spread out in Water Mill are dedicated to the annual Pumpkin Town harvest. While there, it’s important to keep an eye out for gourds, corn stalks, Montauk daisies, home and lawn décor, apples, cider, doughnuts and more!Fine Dining – One of the best aspects of a trip to the Hamptons has to do with the cuisine.
