Misión Huascarán
‘Knitting Hope’ is a civil non-profit association member of Misión Huascarán. They empower rural women from small villages at the foothills of the Huascarán mountain located in Peru so they are able to generate extra income to help maintain their households and improve their living conditions. The goal is to empower the women within this rural area by providing them with a viable opportunity to generate income and an overall greater mission to create a transcendental change in the lives of their families. The Baker House 1650 is proud to support the mission of the Misión Huascarán and the ‘Knitting Hope’ projects. We have made a pledge to retail the products which are created by hand with the purpose of giving back to the women who have crafted them.
